Telangana GSDP more likely to be Rs 9,78,373 crore by finish of FY 2020-21

Kicking-off the price range session of the State Legislature, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan stated on Monday Telangana’s anticipated GSDP is more likely to be Rs 9,78,373 crore by the top of FY 2020-21.

In her customary tackle to the joint sitting of the state legislature, she stated: “In response to the current evaluation, the anticipated per-capita earnings and GSDP by the top of 2020-21 Monetary 12 months would more likely to be Rs.2,27,145 and Rs.9,78,373 crores respectively.”

Observing that the state has been rising its income assets with strict fiscal self-discipline, she stated the state had elevated its revenues and stood first within the nation with 17.24 per cent common annual progress fee, from 2014 (when the state was shaped) to 2019.

The state’s GSDP was Rs 4,51,580 crore in 2013-14 and it elevated by 114.71 per cent to succeed in Rs 9,69,604 crore by 2019-20, she stated.

In 2013-14, the per capita earnings in Telangana was Rs 1,12,162 and by 2019-20, it was Rs 2,28,216, she stated.


The governor stated Rs 54,052 crore was spent in Telangana as capital expenditure from 2004 to 2014, whereas Rs 2.30 lakh crore was spent as capital expenditure from 2014-20 from each price range and non-budget funds.

Noting that the “financial recession” all around the nation in FY 2019-20, coupled with COVID-19 pandemic in 2020-21 has had an adversarial impression on the state funds, she stated the state authorities, nonetheless, carried out methods to face each difficult scenario and ensured that the state economic system had not slipped out of arms.

It was a proud second for the state when the financial survey 2020-21 introduced in Parliament declared that Telangana was one of many few states that might recuperate economically sooner from the monetary disaster created by the pandemic, the governor stated.

On COVID-19, she stated the state is doing significantly better in managing the pandemic as compared with the nationwide averages vis-a-vis deaths and recoveries.

The COVID-19 vaccination programme is being performed efficiently within the state and the federal government has made mandatory preparations with the purpose of vaccinating 50 lakh folks, she added.

Soundararajan spoke at size on the varied growth and welfare programmes of the state authorities.
